Discover Svalöv: Sculpture, culture and movement
Accommodation in Svalöv
In Svalöv, you can plan a stay around different interests: public art, cultural history or getting active in town. The sculpture trail, a large-scale mural and several cultural offerings provide specific starting points. The direct train connection south to Malmö and north to Åstorp may also influence your choice of accommodation.

Sculptures and mural art in Svalöv
The sculpture trail runs through Svalöv from the lake in the north to Felestad in the south and can be followed on foot. Svalövs skulpturpark is located in the existing green space by Svalövssjön. There are 44 public sculptures in various locations throughout Svalövs tätort. The trail follows a north–south route; the number, by contrast, describes public art across the whole town.
Another work is Veteväggen. It was painted on the wall of Kvarnhuset facing the railway track—the wall of Tryckhallen—and measures 40 × 7 metres. The work depicts the villages, history and residents of Svalöv Municipality. Children, young people, adults and retirees took part in its creation alongside the artists from the association. The mural thus combines its large scale with a story of collective creation.
Culture and history
Kulturhuset in Svalöv is a long-established cinema that shows new films. At Svalövs filmstudio, members can watch films together with other film enthusiasts. Fridhems folkhögskola in Svalöv has a theatre programme. These institutions represent different forms of culture: film at Kulturhuset and the film studio, and theatre as a programme of study.
The history of buildings and education can also be traced through specific dates. Svalövs kyrka was built in 1877 south of the medieval church site. Svalövs gymnasium began in 1899 as Svalövs lantmannaskola, as part of Fridhems folkhögskola in Svalöv. The new agricultural school building was inaugurated in 1921. The dates mark different milestones: the construction of the church, the founding of the school and, later, the inauguration of a new school building.
Activity and nature
There is an activity and walking trail along Ängabäcksvägen. An activity park on Linåkravägen has a skateboard ramp, pump track, Teqball and an outdoor fitness area. The two facilities have different focuses: one centres on a route for exercise and walking, while the other offers a range of play and fitness options. Check the condition of the facilities before visiting.
Svenstorps fälad lies 2.5 kilometres northeast of Svalöv. The area consists mainly of pastureland and traces of earlier settlements. It therefore combines a connection with nature with a historical theme distinct from the church and school buildings in town.
