Łajs: Hotels and Accommodation

Łajs is located between Lake Kośno and Lake Łajskie and borders the extensive forests of Napiwodzko-Ramucka. The village also borders the Jezioro Kośno nature reserve. Nearby bodies of water include Lake Łajskie, Lake Kośno, Kosienko Bay, Czerwonka Mała, and several streams.

Landscape and Nature

The forests of Napiwodzko-Ramucka surrounding Łajs are considered to be covered by a landscape protection area and the Natura 2000 bird protection area. Beaver dams and lodges are said to occur in the wetlands around Łajs; waterfowl, marsh birds, and amphibians are also reported there. Roe deer are also said to be numerous.

A blue hiking trail runs around Lake Kośno. A kayaking route also begins in Łajs and leads via this lake to Olsztyn. A hiking and cycling route connects Łajs, Tylkowo, and Małszewo. A red cycling route also runs through Łajs along the Olsztyn–Szczęsne–Klewki–Kaborno–Nowa Wieś–Łajs–Małszewo route.
