Grabin is located in Ostróda County and in the municipality of Ostróda, on national road DK7.

History

The village was mentioned in records in 1325. In documents from the period of the Teutonic Order, Grabin appears as land belonging to the Commandery of Ostróda. An operating mill has been documented here since 1493; it existed until the middle of the 16th century. Historical records also associate Grabin with fishing rights on Lake Kraplewskie: the right to fish there was granted by Prince Albrecht to Kasper Zedlitz in 1543.
