Culture and Town History

The parish church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Złocieniec dates back to the 15th century and includes later construction phases from 1723 and 1870. At Złocieniec Castle, construction phases from the 13th–14th, 17th–18th, and 19th–20th centuries have been documented.

Street names and historic views also preserve various historical layers. Bohaterów Warszawy Street was formerly called Market Street; this historic name is documented from 1905 onward. Historic views of Złocieniec include a depiction from 1652 as well as town views from 1898 to 1912.
