Tymień is located in the Gmina of Będzino, in Koszalin County and the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in northwestern Poland. The Gmina of Będzino lies in the coastal belt of the northwestern part of Koszalin County and has a rural character. It encompasses a section of the Baltic coast, Lake Jamno, and National Road 11.

The area surrounding Tymień includes Plaża w Ustroniu Morskim, Plaża Sarbinowo, and Sianożęty Plaża. The wider regional area also includes Płaza Kolobrzeg. Tymień has a large wind farm with 25 wind turbines.

Transport

Tymień is located on National Road 11 and the single-track Kołobrzeg–Koszalin railway line, line 402. A railway stop is designated in Tymień and identified as Tymień railway station.

History

Until 1945, Tymień was known by the German name Timmenhagen.
