Tolkmicko (Tolkemit)
The town of Tolkmicko (Tolkemit) lies on the Vistula Lagoon (Zalew Wiślany), roughly halfway along the short stretch of coastline in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship in northeastern Poland. On the opposite shore of the Vistula Lagoon lies the seaside resort of Krynica Morska (Kahlberg). The town’s small harbor, protected by breakwaters, also offers opportunities for water sports.

The varied surroundings offer excellent opportunities for many sports, as well as hiking and cycling. Numerous marked trails in the area lead to historical attractions (such as the Copernicus Route) and natural sights. The Vistula Lagoon is suitable for water sports such as windsurfing, sailing, canoeing and water skiing. In winter, the frozen lagoon draws iceboat enthusiasts—world championships and many Polish championships have been held here.
The 700-year-old Jan Bażyński Oak, with a trunk circumference of 10.8 meters and a height of 25 meters, is the largest oak tree in Poland. Beaches are available in Tolkmicko itself and in the neighboring villages of Kadyny and Suchacz to the south.
The tourist information office for the town and municipality of Tolkmicko is located in the town’s cultural center on ul. Świętojańska.
