Jarosławiec (Jershöft)

Jarosławiec (Jershöft) lies roughly halfway between Ustka (Stolpmünde) and Darłowo (Rügenwalde). Tourism began here as early as around 1865, making Jarosławiec (Jershöft) one of the oldest seaside resorts in Prussia. The town is surrounded by a varied landscape that stretches from forests and marshes, past Lake Wicko (Vietzker See), to the narrow beach beneath the 22-metre-high cliff.

The centre of Jarosławiec (Jershöft), with its small harbour, has retained its character as an old fishing village. In recent years, small shops, guesthouses, larger hotels and holiday-home complexes have sprung up. The main attraction in Jarosławiec (Jershöft) is the AquaPark east of the town centre, with pools and slides. The 33-metre-high lighthouse, built in 1858, is open to visitors. The beach in the town itself is very narrow due to coastal protection measures; the most beautiful, wide sandy beaches lie to the west on the spit separating Lake Kopan from the Baltic Sea.

Jarosławiec (Jershöft) is an ideal starting point for excursions in the surrounding area. Hiking routes in three directions offer a glimpse of the landscape. Cycling trips of just over 29 kilometres lead towards Lake Kopan or east towards Lake Wicko and Barzowicka Hill. More distant destinations can also be reached from Jarosławiec (Jershöft) by car in a reasonable amount of time. These include the Baltic Sea towns of Kołobrzeg and Koszalin, Słowiński National Park with the shifting dunes of Łeba or, to the south, the Pomeranian Lake District around Czaplinek.

You can book hotels directly in Jarosławiec (Jershöft).
