Mrzeżyno (Deep)
The seaside resort of Mrzeżyno (Deep) lies at the mouth of the Rega River, where it flows into the Baltic Sea, and belongs to the town of Trzebiatόw (Treptow an der Rega). Tourism began to develop here as early as the beginning of the 19th century. Among the first visitors in the 19th century were Field Marshal Blücher and Otto von Bismarck. From 1924 to 1935, Lyonel Feininger spent the summer months in the seaside resort of Mrzeżyno. He created many of his works here, including, it is believed, some inspired by the church ruins at Hoff (Trzęsacz).

The climate in the seaside resort of Mrzeżyno (Deep) is maritime, with smaller temperature variations than inland. In addition, the coastal forest west of the Rega estuary creates an excellent microclimate. For several years now, Mrzeżyno beach has received the “Blue Flag” in recognition of tested bathing-water quality and good service. A breakwater also protects the harbor at the river mouth. It is a starting point for numerous water sports, both out on the Baltic Sea and upriver along the picturesque banks of the Rega.
Stretching for several kilometers along the Rega, the town has all the characteristic charm of a holiday resort. Its distinctive landmark is the imaginatively designed church, which also offers outdoor services at an open-air altar. Surrounded by extensive woodland, the seaside resort of Mrzeżyno (Deep) is an excellent starting point for excursions and hikes. A few kilometers to the east lies Lake Resko Przymorskie (Kamper See), a bird sanctuary that is a popular day-trip destination for visitors holidaying on the Baltic coast.
