Trzebiatów (Treptow an der Rega)

Trzebiatów (Treptow an der Rega) lies 10 kilometers south of the Baltic Sea, on the banks of the Rega River. Treptow was one of the most important trading towns on the Baltic coast. Today, the 13th-century castle is the venue for major cultural events. The historic old town includes such sights as the Baroque town hall and the Church of St. Mary, visible from far away.

The Rega River’s location has been important not only to Treptow’s development, but also to its present-day appeal as a holiday destination on the Baltic Sea. The Rega flows into the Baltic Sea at the seaside resort of Mrzeżyno (Deep), which belongs to Trzebiatów. Kayaking enthusiasts make particular use of the river and its connected waterways, all the way to Lake Resko Przymorskie. These waters, including the Baltic Sea, are also a paradise for anglers. Well-developed cycling routes along the Rega and through the forests, as well as equestrian tourism, round out the wide range of activities.

A Baltic Sea holiday in Trzebiatów (Treptow an der Rega) combines a living sense of history with a wide range of ways to enjoy an active, relaxing family holiday close to the sea. Among the many holiday accommodations around Treptow, a particularly large number specialize in farm stays (agrotourism).
