Geographical setting
Pedersker is surrounded by cultivated fields; Lynggårdsskoven forest lies to the north. The area immediately north of the settlement contains a large forest. There are bathing beaches in the area with holiday homes south of Pedersker.
The relatively flat area around Pedersker has numerous cycle paths and is suitable for cycling tours. The nearby southern coast of Bornholm offers opportunities for water sports and fishing. The sandy beaches south of Pedersker are located in Sømarken.
Culture and history
Rispebjerg is located about three kilometres east of Pedersker, in the immediate vicinity. The archaeological site is associated with the remains of a Neolithic sun temple and Iron Age earthworks. Sankt Povls Kirke is also located in the immediate vicinity of Pedersker.
Kirkemølle stands southwest of Pedersker. It is a sandstone windmill dating from 1861 and is now one of Bornholm's museum mills. The former Pedersker railway station served the Rønne–Nexø railway line, which was in operation from 1900 to 1968.
