Rø: Hotels and Accommodation

The Bornholm Art Museum and the Helligdomsklipperne rock formations are located in the immediate vicinity of Rø. Rø is also close to the steep cliffs of Helligdommen on Bornholm’s northern coast.

Geographical Location

Rø is a small village on the Danish island of Bornholm, located 2 kilometres from the northern coast and 7 kilometres west of Gudhjem. The surrounding area of Rø also includes Bornholm.

Culture and History

Rø’s present-day parish church was built in 1888 and replaced a Romanesque church that had been demolished in 1887 because it was considered beyond repair. The former Rønne–Allinge railway line left an old station building in Rø.

Cycling

Bornholm Regional Route 26 passes through Rø Plantage as a cycling route and forms part of a comparatively hilly route through Bornholm’s natural areas.
