Nostorf is a municipality in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany. As the westernmost municipality in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Nostorf borders Schleswig-Holstein and Lower Saxony.

Nature and Landscape

The western parts of Nostorf belong to the Stecknitz-Delvenau Nature Reserve, while a southern section lies within the Lower Saxony Elbe River Landscape Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Biosphere Reserve. The Elbe and the Delvenau run along the municipal boundaries, while the Mühlenbach flows through the municipality. The Ziegelberg, a hill in the vicinity of Nostorf, and the Hasenberg, a hill in the surrounding area, complete the geographical picture.

Culture and History

The Lauenburg Castle Tower, a historic site, and the Maria Magdalene Church are located in the vicinity of Nostorf. In the wider regional area are the historic sites Goldammers Grab and the Franzosenschanze Cultural-Historical Monument.
