Geographical Location

Hülseburg is located approximately 9.5 kilometers north of Hagenow in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The A24 federal motorway runs three kilometers south of the village and can be reached via the Wittenburg and Hagenow exits.

History and Culture

The former Hülseburg Castle, a neo-Gothic castle, stood on the western edge of the settlement. It burned down in 1947; the ruins were demolished in 1948. The former castle park covered 7.7 hectares. A chapel is also among the local architectural landmarks.

The wider regional surroundings of Hülseburg include Schwerin, the State Museum, the Schwerin-Zippendorf TV Tower, and Seedorf Castle.

The Motel River flows through Hülseburg. Schweriner Berg is located in the immediate surroundings. The surrounding area is home to Großer Werder, the Zachun water-ski lift, and the manor park. The wider regional surroundings also include Tannenwerder (Island of the Dead).
