The Sude River runs along the southern boundary of the Warsow municipal area. The locality is a municipality in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany.
Geographical location
Warsow is located approximately 11 kilometers southwest of Schwerin and 15 kilometers northeast of Hagenow. The locality lies directly on Federal Highway 321. The connection to the A24 motorway is six kilometers away, at the Hagenow junction; the nearest railway station is five kilometers away in Alt Zachun.
Nature
Several islands are located in the area surrounding Warsow: Großer Werder, Tannenwerder (Toteninsel), Schwaneninsel, and Kaninchenwerder. The Schwerin-Zippendorf television tower is also located in the surrounding area and serves as a lookout point. The Zachun water-ski lift is operated as a park in the area surrounding Warsow.
Culture
A Low German hall house dating from 1787 has been preserved in Warsow. The locality is also home to a village church designated as Warsow Village Church in Ludwigslust-Parchim, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
The area surrounding Warsow also includes the Schwerin State Museum, a museum, as well as Schwerin Cathedral of St. Mary and St. John, a church.
