Nature

The municipality includes several lakes, including Lake Schweingarten and Lake Carpiner. The municipal area is situated in a hilly landscape that is particularly heavily forested in the west. At 113.7 meters above sea level, the Serrahner Berge form the highest point in the municipality of Carpin.

The Windmühlenberg and Dickeberg are located in the immediate vicinity of Carpin. In the wider regional area are Steinwerder and Kaninchen Werder. The Wiesenpark is also located in the surrounding area of Carpin.

History and Culture

Carpin was first mentioned in a document dated February 3, 1393, together with neighboring villages, including Bergfeld and Goldenbaum.
