Userin: Hotels and Accommodation

Userin lies on the eastern shore of the four-kilometre-long Useriner See. The lake is part of Müritz National Park, and the Upper Havel flows through it. Userin is also located in the Mecklenburg Lake District, approximately eight kilometres from Neustrelitz.

Water Landscape

The municipality also includes Lake Großer Labussee, on whose northern shore the settlement of Zwenzow is located. Boat traffic from Lake Woblitzsee can use the Kammerkanal to reach Neustrelitz and continue towards Berlin via the Upper Havel Waterway.

Culture and History

The municipality’s official coat of arms commemorates its three large lakes and the history of its settlement. The first documented name, “Woseryn,” dates from 1346. Tar kilns in Zwenzow, Voßwinkel and Groß Quassow are also documented in historical records.
