Grammentin is located on the edge of the Malchin Basin. This basin is a glacial drainage channel that formed from meltwater during the Pomeranian phase of the Weichselian glaciation. Forest covers half of the municipality's area.
Geographical Location
Grammentin is located in the Mecklenburgische Seenplatte district of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, northwest of Neubrandenburg. The village is approximately seven kilometers north of Stavenhagen and 14 kilometers east of Malchin, east of Lake Kummerow.
