Ivenack is located directly on Lake Ivenack, where the Augraben stream rises. Large parts of the municipality are forested.

Ivenack is associated with ancient oak trees and a 20-metre-high treetop climbing experience. The surrounding area is also home to Ivenack Wildlife Park, Gerichtsberg, Boekenbarg and Tannenberg.

Visitor attractions in Ivenack include Ivenack Palace, Ivenack Palace Church, the former stables, a pavilion and Ivenack Church. The ARQUOIA studio in Ivenack presents more than 100 works of art – both indoors and in its sculpture garden.

During the Thirty Years' War, the village of Ivenack, its former monastery buildings and an early manor house were destroyed.

Location

The B 194 runs west of Ivenack. The Neubrandenburg–Güstrow railway line runs through the municipality.
