Bollewick: Hotels and accommodations

Bollewick is home to Germany’s largest fieldstone barn. The listed historic building serves as a market for Mecklenburg products, crafts, art, and culture.

Landscape and location

Bollewick is located in the Mecklenburg Lake District, a few kilometers southwest of Lake Müritz, and belongs to the Mecklenburg Switzerland and Lake District travel region. The area between Lake Müritz and the upper Elde River is characterized by fields, small forests, and lakes. At just under 112 meters above sea level, Mohrberg is the municipality’s highest elevation. The town of Röbel/Müritz is about three kilometers from Bollewick. The Rübenberg is also located nearby; Windmühlenberg and Rohlandsberg are situated in the surrounding area.

Culture and crafts

The building houses workshops dedicated to traditional crafts. Demonstrations are occasionally held there for visitors and explained upon request. The building also includes a farm shop and sales rooms for regional products, as well as a café and a village tavern.
