Gotthun is located in the Mecklenburg Lake District on the immediate western shore of Lake Müritz.

Geographical Location

The municipality forms a peninsula bordered by Sietow Bay, the mouth of the Kellerbach stream, and Müritz Bay. Röbel/Müritz is approximately five kilometers from Gotthun.

Nature

From a lakeside viewpoint northeast of Gotthun, you can see across two-thirds of Lake Müritz, Germany’s largest inland lake.

The Kahle Berg, Rübenberg, and Dusterholzberg hills are located in the area around Gotthun.
