Neu Poserin lies on the southern edge of the Nossentiner/Schwinzer Heide Nature Park, in a landscape rich in forests and lakes. The surrounding area also includes Lake Damerow, Lake Poserin and Lake Goldberg, as well as the Großer and Kleiner Serrahn wetland and nature reserve on the Mildenitz Canal. Other highlights include Lake Langhagen with the Dünenkiefernwald and Langhagensee protected areas, as well as the Paschensee Nature Reserve east of Wooster Teerofen.
