Cycling circuits with different highlights

Cycling Route No. 1 is a 10 km circuit from Łukta via Woliny and Wynki and back to Łukta. At 15.5 km, Cycling Route No. 2 is longer; it runs via Woliny, Wynki, Dąg, Plichta and Tabórz before returning to the starting point. Both routes are described as circuits, but they differ in length and in the places they pass through.

The yellow cycling route is 24.5 km long and runs from Łukta via Komorowo, Pelnik, Łęguty, Grazymy and Wynki and back to Łukta. There are two developed bathing areas along this route; it also runs mostly through forest and crosses the Pasłęka River four times. If you want to combine a cycling trip with forest stretches and bathing areas, you’ll find these features together on the yellow route.

The green cycling route covers 27.9 km. Its circuit runs via Dragolice, Florczaki, Nowaczyzna, Swojki, Żabi Róg, Gubity, Kozia Góra, Gucin and Kolonia Mostkowo before returning to Łukta. Much of the route offers scenic views, and there are also several steep climbs and descents. Between Łukta and Żabi Róg, the route runs exclusively along safe unpaved roads. This information can help you assess the longer circuit in terms of its length and the elevation changes described.

The blue cycling route is 27.3 km long and runs via Molza, Dąg, Plichta, Tabórz, Niedźwiady, Białka Leśna, Florczaki Kolonia and Ramoty before returning to Łukta. It connects Łukta with the Sosny Taborskie and Jezioro Długie nature reserves. Along the way, it passes a bathing area on Lake Gil; near Ramoty, it runs close to a bathing area on Lake Marąg.

Nature destinations within the municipality

The Sosny Taborskie nature reserve has an educational trail among its oldest, most beautiful and most characteristic trees. It is intended for pedestrians and cyclists, as well as adults and children. This offers a different way to experience the trees than one of the longer cycling circuits.

The Jezioro Długie nature reserve is located in Lake Długie and protects a well-preserved population of the relict species quillwort. Together with the educational trail in Sosny Taborskie, this gives you two nature destinations with different focuses: characteristic trees in one and a protected plant population in the other. The blue cycling route connects the two nature reserves.

Church and local events

The Kościół Matki Boskiej Częstochowskiej church in Łukta is a Gothic church dating from the early 15th century. It was built of red brick and fieldstone. Its square Baroque tower has a wooden upper section; the weather vane bears the year 1816. Inside the church is a late Renaissance altar in the form of a cabinet altarpiece, or cabinet triptych. These varied details give the church a distinctive historic character, both outside and inside.

Annual events include Dni Rodziny, an open-air family festival for residents and tourists, held in late May or early June. Dni Łukty takes place every year during the summer holidays and features various events and concerts. The Dożynki harvest festival is held on the first weekend of September, after the school year begins.
