Juelsminde
Juelsminde is a holiday resort on the Danish Baltic coast, situated right on the Kattegat amid scenic surroundings. Together with the towns of Vejle (to the west) and Horsens (to the north), Juelsminde forms a triangle. Juelsminde has the quintessential atmosphere of a Baltic seaside resort. A lively promenade lined with shops, restaurants and numerous craftspeople characterises the town, while the harbour is just a hundred metres from the centre and offers a place for leisure boats to moor. Passenger boats from the coastal towns also call at the pier in the popular marina.

Juelsminde is surrounded by two types of beach. The clay-soil cliff coasts are subject to coastal erosion and are gradually being claimed by the sea. In particular, the Kattegat is fringed by white sandy beaches that are ideal for swimming. The entire area has also been certified by the Danish tourist board as an active holiday region. Activities include cycling trips, canoeing along the coast and into the bays, hiking on well-marked trails, fishing, and an 18-hole golf course near the town with fantastic views of the Baltic Sea.
As is the case along almost all Danish coasts, classic holiday apartments and holiday homes make up the majority of accommodation in and around Juelsminde. Hotels and campsites around Juelsminde are also popular destinations for holidaymakers.
