Hotels in Western Pomerania

The well-known holiday islands of Rügen and Usedom lie off the mainland of Western Pomerania. But the coastal area stretching from the Strelasund in the north, across the Greifswald Bodden with the seaside resort of Lubmin, to the Szczecin Lagoon in the south also has plenty of scenic appeal. Visitors can choose between city breaks in the Hanseatic towns of Stralsund and Greifswald, traditional small towns such as Wolgast, Anklam and Ueckermünde, and peaceful spots away from the crowds. The Peene, the only river valley in Central Europe that remains untouched by development, is a refuge for rare animals such as beavers and otters, and a paradise for nature lovers at the same time.
