The Trebel River flows through Nossendorf. The town is a municipality in Western Pomerania in the northern part of the Mecklenburg Lake District, northwest of Demmin.

Location

Nossendorf is located approximately 9 kilometers northwest of Demmin. Federal Highway 194 runs east of the municipality, while Federal Highway 110 runs to the south. The settlement can also be reached via the A20; the Grimmen-West interchange is approximately 15 kilometers away.

Nature

The Mühlenberg hill is located in the immediate vicinity of Nossendorf. The surrounding area also includes the Heideberg and Wildberg hills.

History

Nossendorf was first documented in 1292; St. Mary's Church was built in the 13th century. Archaeological finds from the area surrounding Nossendorf include material from the Bronze Age as well as from the later Germanic, Slavic, and German settlement periods.
