Utzedel: Hotels and Accommodations

Utzedel is located in the northern part of the Mecklenburg Lake District, southeast of Demmin. The Augraben flows through the western part of the municipality, while the Tollense is located to the north of it.

History and Architectural Heritage

The St. Bartholomaei Church in Demmin and the monastery church in Verchen are located in the surrounding area. Utzedel was first mentioned in historical records in 1248, when Duke Wartislaw III of Pomerania confirmed the Dargun monastery's possessions. A fieldstone church in Utzedel dates from the mid-13th century.

The Utzedel district is located directly on State Road 271. There is also a stop on the Stralsund–Neubrandenburg–Berlin route that is considered to be served hourly.
