Beggerow is a municipality in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and in the Mecklenburg Lake District. It lies southeast of Demmin in the Pomeranian part of the region, about ten kilometers south of Demmin and about fifteen kilometers northeast of Stavenhagen. Federal Highway 194 runs west of the municipality.

History

Beggerow was first documented in 1279. The history of the Beggerow estate mentions the von Voß and von Podewils families from the Middle Ages through the 19th century.

The Augraben flows through the Beggerow municipal area. Nearby are Rauerberg, Schwemmsalberg, Fuchsberg, and Moorberg. The surrounding area also includes Demmin, St. Bartholomew's Church, Verchen, and the monastery church. Schlossberg and Wildberg are located in the wider regional surroundings of Beggerow.
