Siggelkow: Hotels and Accommodations

Siggelkow is located in the Elde lowlands, about eight kilometers southeast of Parchim and around ten kilometers south of Lübz.

Location and Landscape

At the northern edge of Siggelkow, the wider municipal area includes the Müritz-Elde Waterway and an old branch of the Elde into which the Gehlsbach and Moosterbach flow; the lakes Sabelsee and Blanksee are also part of it.

Nature and Bodies of Water

Siggelkow encompasses several nature reserves, including the Wüstemoor near Blanksee, the Gehlsbach Valley near Klein Pankow, and Sabelsee near Groß Pankow. The larger forested areas include the Siggelkower Tannen to the west, the Pankower Tannen to the south, and a small forest around Heideberg near Redlin. At 77.3 meters above sea level, Heideberg is the highest point in the municipality. Marnitzer Berg, Brummelberg, and Meuschenberg are located in the surrounding area.

Culture and Trails

The wider regional area around Siggelkow is home to Pingelhof, Schwedenschanze, Burgwall, Elefantenhof Platschow, and Meyenburg Castle.

There are village churches in the area around Siggelkow, including the restored Siggelkow Village Church and Protestant village churches in the nearby towns of Klein Pankow, Groß Pankow, and Redlin. The region around Siggelkow offers hiking, cycling, and gravel bike routes, including the Blanksee Loop and the Siggelkow Village Church–Water Tower Loop.
