In Łosino, the 4-kilometre nature trail “Szlakiem Troci i Łososia” runs along the Słupia River. The trail can be reached by bicycle; by car, you can reach a car park near the bridge over the Słupia, and a city bus also runs to Łosino.

Nature

Łosino has two Nordic walking routes with very similar courses. Both start and end at the village community centre and combine forest tracks with gravel country roads. The hiking trails in Łosino run through the Słupia Valley Landscape Park and along the Słupia River. There are opportunities to observe the local fauna and flora.

The landscape is also shaped by the river valley: the early medieval settlement lies in the floodplain of the Słupia and is now covered by pine forest.

History

Łosino is home to the remains of an early medieval fortified settlement dating from the turn of the 8th and 9th centuries. Part of the former earthwork rampart has survived from the fortified complex; the surviving section is 70 metres long.
