Słupsk (Stolp)
The town of Słupsk (Stolp) lies 18 kilometres from the Baltic coast on the Słupia River (Stolpe). Today, Słupsk (Stolp) is the urban and economic hinterland of the port town of Ustka (Stolpmünde), making it a popular day-trip destination for tourists holidaying on the Polish Baltic coast.

The town’s beautiful natural surroundings complement its many historic landmarks. These include the reconstructed castle of the Dukes of Pomerania, the town hall dating from 1901, the Gothic churches and Europe’s oldest working lift.
The Museum of Middle Pomerania is housed in the castle of the Dukes of Pomerania. It features numerous exhibitions about the Pomerania region, including the sarcophagi of Ernest Bogislaw and Anne of Croÿ.
The town of Słupsk (Stolp) is developing a twin-city project that will bring together the complementary strengths of Słupsk and the port town of Ustka (Stolpmünde). This would renew the historic ties between the two towns on a new level. Słupsk’s urban amenities and population of nearly 100,000, combined with Ustka’s outstanding tourism potential, would create excellent conditions, not least for tourism.
