The Augraben flows through Lindenberg. The municipality is located in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany, and belongs to the Mecklenburgische Seenplatte district. Lindenberg is situated in the Western Pomeranian part of the district, southwest of Demmin.

Geographical location

The B194 federal road runs west of the municipality. The village of Lindenberg is located directly on the L272 state road and the K297 district road.

History

Lindenberg (Rellin) originated from a Slavic fortified settlement dating from the 8th or 9th century. The municipality was first documented as Rellin on January 31, 1283, as the property of Bishop Herman of Cammin.
