Hohenmocker is located in the northeast of the Mecklenburg Lake District, south of Demmin, and historically belongs to Pomerania. The landscape and local history are reflected here both in the location on a dissected upland and in the historical traces of the surrounding area.

Landscape

The Strehlower Bach flows through Hohenmocker and continues its course toward the Augraben. The municipality is situated on a dissected upland at approximately 40 to 50 meters above sea level.

The Ziegenberg lies in the vicinity of Hohenmocker. Fuchsberg and Radeberg are also located in the surrounding area.

Culture and History

The church of Hohenmocker was already documented in 1239 in a record connected with Klatzow Monastery near Altentreptow. Hohenbrünzow, Strehlow, and Tentzerow are considered former manor estates in the Hohenmocker area.
