Rechlin: Hotels and Accommodations

Rechlin is located directly on the southeastern shore of Lake Müritz and is characterized by water, forests, and meadows. As a state-recognized health resort in the southern Müritz region, the municipality connects Lake Kleine Müritz with an extensive network of waterways: Lake Kleine Müritz is an arm connected to the southern part of Lake Müritz, whose waterways lead to the Havel and, via the Müritz-Elde Waterway, onward to the Elbe.

Water and Nature

Part of the Müritz National Park lies within the municipality in the north. There are also other lakes, such as Lake Woterfitz, Lake Leppin, and the Kotzow Lakes. This means that various bodies of water and landscapes are located close together in and around Rechlin.

Active on the Water

The range of activities extends from cycling and walking to paddling and boat tours. This also includes trips by boat or canoe through the surrounding canals toward Mirow. In the southern Müritz region, shallow, sandy beaches and clear water are associated with swimming, sailing, windsurfing, and paddling.

Culture and History

The Aviation Technology Museum in Rechlin displays aircraft and related technology from the two World Wars as well as from the Soviet era. The wider region around Rechlin is also home to Burgwall, Ringwall, the Schlacht Sechzehnhundertsechsunddreißig memorial platform, and Goldbeck Castle.

Sprotscher Berg is located in the immediate vicinity of Rechlin. The surrounding area includes Mühlenberg, Winterberg, and the Bollewick maze.
